Manolo Valdés

The internationally known artist Manolo Valdés founded 1964 together with Joan Antonio Toledo and Rafael Solbes the "Equipo Crónica. In 1981 he developed his unique individual style. The history of art is to him an important source of inspiration. He draws from the fund of his famous predecessors whose masterpieces he quotes in his paintings, sculptures and drawings.
At Quadrienniale in 2006 21 of his "Las Meninas" bronze sculptures, which had their origin in Diego Velazquez painting "Las Meninas" of 1656, were issued.
