Johanna Clara Becker

Johanna Clara Becker (*1995, Krefeld) studied fine art at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. She graduated in 2021 as a master student of Dirk Skreber.

Ralph Goertz was able to accompany the talented artist as she worked on a new piece. In a very personal interview, she gave us some insights into her attitude to art and her working process, as well as her very free approach and view of life as a contemporary artist. In her emotionally charged works, she combines drawing, painting and sculpture, crossing all boundaries and thus addressing the longings of the younger generation in particular.

The IKS archive has video footage from 2020 and 2021 of the final tours at the art academy Düsseorf, as well as a ‘studio visit’ with an interview with the artist in 2025.
