Pauline Mbarek
KIT - Kunst im Tunnel presented a solo exhibition "The tangible border" by Pauline M'barek in 2014. For the exhibition space, the artist developed a multi-part room installation tailored to the particular architecture of the KIT, dealing with limitations and their points of contact in the form of light projections, videos and objects. The experience of the world through the senses played a central role. Already upon entering, the visitor was lifted out of his self-evident, everyday feeling and absorbed by an environment in which he expected swelling rather than boundaries. Pauline M'barek allowed him to participate in optical, material, and conceptual inversion and inversion of bodies and relationships. The exhibition resembled a course that was traversed by a white line that served as a clue for the individual works.
For the Quadriennale 2014 we produced a trailer and made a complete film documentation of the exhibit.
