Jodi Bieber
Jodi Bieber, born in South Africa, is a photographer who studied at the Market Photography workshop. Her professional career began at The Star newspaper in Johannesburg in 1993. Bieber was a participant in the 1996 Joop Swart Masterclass, which for her proved a turning point. Assignments for such publications as The New York Times Magazine followed. A decade-long personal project photographing youth on the fringes of South African society grew into the book Between Dogs and Wolves - Growing up with South Africa, published in 2006. Her most recent book, Soweto, a portrait of Soweto today, was published in 2010.
She became famous with his portrait of Aisha in 2010 which was published on the cover of the Times Magazine.
But her series of works are no press photographies, it is pure art!
We met Jodi Bieber at the Museum Goch where she had her first solo Musem exhibition "Between Darkness and Light" in Germany.
