Michael Schmidt

The Berlin located artists Michael Schmidt counts to one of the most important german photo artists. In 1988 he had, as the first german photo artist, a solo exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. He got into the internationally focus by his sensitive black and white photographs.

In 2012 we were allowed to accompany the artist during his setup of the show "Lebensmittel" at the Museum Morsbroich in Leverkusen. In 2014 Michael Schmidt died in Berlin.
