Maurizio Cattelan

The Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan is best known for his staging of characters and scenarios that work skuril, funny or provocative. Cattelan was known for his figure of Pope John Paul II.
1993 and 1999 he participated in the Venice Biennale and was given solo exhibitions in important international museums such as Musée National d'Art Moderne in Paris, MOMA, New York, Kunsthalle Basel and Kunsthalle Wien.
We were allowed to accompany him during his set up of his work on the synagogue in Stommeln in 2008.
